The objectives of the Mountain States Chapter include:


To provide a forum for the exchange of local and regional information on erosion and sediment control

To distribute articles and data on technological advances in the fields of erosion and sediment control

To provide an opportunity for the review of local, state and federal regulations that effect the erosion and sediment control industry

To distribute information on new erosion and sediment control products

To inform members of practical erosion and sediment control techniques and practices

To evaluate the effectiveness of various practices and products in local and regional applications

To provide effective tools for members to use in the control of erosion

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Mountain States Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association is to provide a regional forum for the exchange and review of information related to the causes, effects, management, long-term impacts, and solutions for soil erosion and sediment control in the mountain states of Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.  The active participation of government officials, academic leaders, researchers, manufacturers, consultants and contractors represents the diverse resources that will  be available to members of the Mountain States Chapter.
